In 1976, Ralph Porter and his son Jim started Porter Supply Company. Ralph worked in the office and Jim drove a used pick-up for deliveries. They rented an 8,000-sq. ft. building, and the first year's sales totaled $310,000.00. Ralph's son, Bud Porter has been active with the company since 1983, and is currently Vice-President. Porter Pipe, as they became in 1999, is owned and operated by first generation management’s, and will be well into the next century.
